From Caernest

When it comes down to it, New York state has lousy weather, high taxes, a dwindling population, a lousy economy, and a lack of promising employment opportunities. Any 2 of those is motivation enough to move out of state. The fact that all 5 exist mean that once both Cori and I are done with school, we're most likely moving out of New York. Chances are we'll be moving to Colorado. I don't plan on giving up LARPing when that happens, and as I don't expect any quality LARPs to already exist out there, my hope is to start a new one. As I'm also not the type of person to wait till the last minute to start something that I enjoy, and LARPing is something I enjoy, I've already put a little work into this.

Rules

The Caernest LARP uses rules based on the original Adventures in Mid-Land 5.0 ruleset, and it's offshoot, the Kingdoms of Novitas 4.0 ruleset.

Caernest LARP Setting Index

The setting for the Caernest LARP is currently undecided. Also, the name for the LARP will likely not stay "Caernest LARP". The Caernest setting has too many things about it that make it a poor choice for a LARP setting, including impractical LARP races, environmental difficulties (trying to always portray winter) and a lack of common knowledge of the setting. Chances are, the setting will lean towards a more common/popular fantasy (possibly steampunk) setting.
